SEND and inclusion service standards

We're committed to providing high-quality, tailored services to children and young people. Service standards play a key role in making sure that support is effective and consistent. By setting clear expectations and pathways, the SEND and Inclusion service ensures that children, families and professionals can access the services and information they need, when they need them.

What our standards provide

Clear expectations

The standards outline what's expected from professionals and makes sure that children, young people and families receive the services and support they need, in a timely and appropriate manner. We focus on high-quality services and outcomes that are measurable and appropriate for the child.

Fairness and accountability

In following these standards, we can make sure all children and families are treated fairly, and with respect and honesty.

Co-production

The standards promote collaborative working between children, families, professionals and agencies to provide a holistic approach to meeting a child's needs. Every decision is driven by the best interests of the child.

Continuous improvement

The standards create a framework for evaluating the effectiveness of services and finding areas for improvement, helping us to continually improve our support.

Service standards

We have standards that explain what you can expect from us, how we will measure the impact of our work, and how your feedback will help us improve. Here are the service standards for each team within our SEND & Inclusion Service:
