School admissions for those with an Education, Health and Care (EHC) plan
The school admissions application process is different for children with:
- a statement of special educational needs
- an Education, Health and Care (EHC) plan
If your child has either of these, you should not apply through the ordinary process. Instead, speak to our Special Educational Needs (SEN) Team and get information.
Children being assessed for an EHC plan
If your child is currently being assessed for SEND, you should apply by completing the common application. You do not have to wait until the assessment is completed before enrolling your child in a school. Speak to our Special Educational Needs (SEN) Team for more information.
General school admissions
Your child will need to apply via the general school admissions process if they:
- do not have a statement of special educational needs, or an EHC plan
- are not in the process of an assessment for one
